Good Morning, Go Practice Your Piano

Hello everyone! When I was growing up, life was BUSY! My brothers and I were always on the go doing some activity, sport, or something school related. I see the same demands - if not more - on my students and their families today. Busy schedules can make it really hard to have a consistent routine or even any dedicated time to practice the piano.

As a child, I had to overcome this same challenge. I think I was maybe 9 or 10 years old, but I would literally DREAM about playing the piano and would fall asleep listening to classical music. I could hardly wait to play my piano! This prompted me to get up early and practice in the morning before school. This was especially helpful on days when I would be gone all afternoon or evening. I found this time to be so special, I was starting my day with a purpose and my passion.

Life is busy! If you find that you (or your children) have trouble finding time to practice in the afternoon or evenings, try sneaking in some quality time at the piano before the day gets going. Grab a cup of coffee, your favorite music book, and get ready to start your day at the piano. Give this a try and leave me a comment below!
